Hi,

In this very moment submitting a manuscript to journal. Citing our open material at OSF in the manuscript. Any suggestions/experiences on how to deal with the demand (from journals) of manuscripts being cleaned of all identifying information? My co-authors want me to add the link after acceptance, thus not include it for review. I want to include it for review. But my name is on the OSF page, making the manuscript not all anonymous if I include the link. How to solve it? Not possible to get an anonymous for-reviewers-only page for other stuff than preregistrations?

Best,

Rebecca

We offer anonymous view-only links that will hide contributor names in places that we insert them (e.g., contributor list, logs). You can then send those links to reviewers. We can't, however, remove names from content inside of wikis and files, so you'll have to attend to that (and their version). You can read a bit more here:

Certainly try it within your team to make sure it works the way you want and let us know if you have questions/comments about this feature--we'd be happy to assist:

Jeff.

I am correct that the reviewers must have an OSF account to view the anonymous materials?

Hi Nate,
No, reviewers don't need an OSF account - they'll just need the anonymous, view-only link.
Happy to answer more questions!

Best,
Sara

I sent the link to someone and they had to request permission from me and this will make the reviewer not anonymous because I see their name asking permission.
