Hi Kencana,
Are you sure to link correctly the swc files?
Take a look at this tutorial: http://openscales.org/tutorials/1.2/01-Configure_project.zip

Hi Marine,

Yes I am pointing to the correct swc file, the one I dlded from the website. My colleague and I both tried to load it (on different workstation) but it return us the same error message. Previously the file size of these 2 swc files are bigger, the one we dlded is only 1kb each.

Kencana

They can be downloaded from http://openscales.org/downloads/openscales-1.2-beta1.zip
or from our Maven repository : http://openscales.org/nexus/content/repositories/releases/

Tutorial have been uploaded on Slideshare in order to make them easier

Hi,

I have made some big changes in 1.2-SNAPSHOT (will be the next 1.2-
beta2 release) including :
- Huge improvement of drag smoothness
- Map and Layer API cleanup
- Gesture handler in order to pan and zoom map on AIR 2.5 android
devices
- Air example has been updated to run on HTC Desire with gesture
handlers
- Reprojection fix in FeatureLayer

It could be nice and we could have feedbacks on these changes.
You can test it at
http://openscales.org/nexus/service/local/repositories/snapshots/content/org/openscales/openscales-fx-examples/1.2-SNAPSHOT/openscales-fx-examples-1.2-20100902.072852-146.swf
Source code is available on the default branch.

No, it was just for code cleaning purpose. OpenScales 1.2-beta2 will
have tween effects back, at least for zoom and pan.

OpenScales 1.2-beta2 just released

Packages can be downloaded from http://openscales.org/downloads/openscales-1.2-beta2.zip
Changelog since last beta1 :
- Huge improvement of drag smoothness
- Better tween zoom smoothness
- Better image quality when zooming
- Layer tweenOnZoom property in order to disable tween effect per
layer (usefull for POI layers)
- Map and Layer API cleanup
- Gesture handler in order to pan and zoom map on AIR 2.5 android
devices
- Air example has been updated to run on HTC Desire with gesture
handlers
- Reprojection fix in FeatureLayer
- Unit tests can now be run in Flash Builder 4, so openscales-testing
module has been removed

Next (and hopefully last) beta will bring full Flex4 support thanks to
Sparkle controls and examples.
Please test this version and post feedbacks.

It seems that Flash 10.1 is needed for running openscales 1.2-beta2
swf.
We will update openscales 1.2-beta3 build configuration in order to
make it work with 10.0 players.

1.2 beta3 is released. We have not merged with flex4 branch for this
beta since we want a stable release for FOSS4G, but next beta or RC
will get all Flex 4 updates.

This release contains following changes :
- inRange is now calculated from min/maxResolution instead of min/
maxZoomLevels
- Feature layer now display by default at all resolutions
- Beter performances with many features
- SWF need only FLash 10, not Flash 10.1 anymore
- A new AIR application : KML viewer
- Mobile tracker, the mobile android application, has been updated
too
- Tween fixes
- API cleanup in Map

With this release we freeze core API, it won't change anymore in 1.2.x
releases.

Download it : http://openscales.org/downloads/openscales-1.2-beta3.zip
Test it : http://openscales.org/downloads/openscales-1.2.swf

Hi,

I have just released OpenScales 1.2-RC1. 1.2 Final is expected next
week.

You can try it at
http://openscales.org/nexus/service/local/artifact/maven/redirect?r=releases&g=org.openscales&a=openscales-fx-examples&v=1.2-RC1&e=swf
and download libraries at http://openscales.org/nexus/index.html#nexus-search;gav~org.openscales~~1.2-RC1~~

This release contains following changes :
- All controls and examples have been upgraded to Flex4
- No more isBaselayer property on Layer classes. Baselayer are now
only a reference to the layer that define projection and resolutions
- A XML schema is available in order to validate your xml
configuration :
http://bitbucket.org/gis/openscales/src/tip/openscales-core/src/main/flex/assets/configuration/openscales-configuration-1.2.xsd
- New OpenScales Viewer module, intended to allow OpenScales
configuration without writting any AS3 ou Flex code (TODO : Javascript
to Flex bridge)
- XML configuration API improvements
- Move classes from control to fx sub package
- Improve MapEvent.MOVE events to manage zoom and pan in one event,
in order to be consistent with moveTo methods that can both move and
pan map.
- Fix zoom transition, and improve it smoothness in fx example

This release contains important changes, so feedback are welcomed.

appears to be an issue with the overview (OV) map in the "localize" "using
overview map" example.

the OV map doesn't update as you pan the larger map, the map extent is always
fixed at the original startup extent.

hi
you should use proxy with TMS from http://tilecache.osgeo.org

TMS with proxy doesn't seems to work, I think we will have to host a
TMS alyer on our own Geoserver.
OverviewMap is currently rewritten from scratch by Simon.

I am currently working hard on 1.2-RC2. I have made some BIG
improvements on openscales-fx.

FxMap class has been greatly improved and simplified. OpenScales now
set map attribute of controls automatically even if they are in some
orther Flex Container at any level.

That means that it is no longer needed to set map attribute for
controls if they are inside a map.
I have also cleanup all fx examples, they are now more easy to read.
In addition to the fact that you don't have to take care of baseLayer,
Flex configuration is now much easier.

Check the difference :
Before (1.1) :
http://bitbucket.org/gis/openscales/src/1c0d2f047f4f/openscales-fx-examples/src/main/flex/LayersManagerExample.mxml
After (1.2) : http://bitbucket.org/gis/openscales/src/tip/openscales-fx-examples/src/main/flex/LayersManagerExample.mxml

Hi,

OpenScales 1.2-RC2 is out. It contains all OpenScales Flex
improvements decribed previously.
Overview map is still broken but will be fixed before 1.2 final.

We are working hard on a complete reference documentation.

There is a mimetype issue with Chrome, please try with Firefox.
We will fix this before final release.
