Tomorrow's speaker, Erik Peterson, is very enthusiastic about sharing the techniques and strategies he uses for Machine Learning projects. UCSD's Voytek Lab, where Erik works, shares that enthusiasm. The lab is working on converting all of their publications into iPython Notebooks and shares tutorials on duplicating their analytical practices on Github.

Our next speaker, Erik Peterson, is a Postdoc at UC San Diego's Voytek Lab. Their lab takes a data-driven approach to neuroscience that positions large scale data analytics to "complement and guide in-lab experimental research."
Erik will share his big picture view of Machine Learning tools and approaches with a focus on the significance between deploying them for understanding and deploying them for prediction.
