Getting to know the landscape of Machine Learning was high on the list of wishes OSD members expressed for 2016. Now, barely a month into the year, you'll get to cross that off the to-do list.
Our next speaker, Erik Peterson, is a Postdoc at UC San Diego's Voytek Lab. Their lab takes a data-driven approach to neuroscience that positions large scale data analytics to "complement and guide in-lab experimental research."
Erik will share his big picture view of Machine Learning tools and approaches with a focus on the significance between deploying them for understanding and deploying them for prediction.
