Live Streaming with OpenRTMFP Cumulus

Dear All

I would like to do Live Streaming with OpenRTMFP Cumulus

Currently , I am using RTMP for my live streaming application, but I would like to move to RTMFP as RTMFP using udp, it might overcome packet lost issue

My setup

SDI Camera ----->  SDI Encoder ---- rtmp stream ---> Wowza ----> client

I search through internet and cannot find any example doing like above with OpenRTMFP Cumulus

Can someone share some infromation ?

Hello Hoyin Ma,

You can already try with MonaServer as it is more up-to-date and add some interesting features. Take a look at our website for a complete documentation : http://monasolutions.github.io/MonaServer/.

If you can publish with RTMP you just have to publish your stream to MonaServer (url : rtmp://domain/, publication name : <whateveryouwant>) instead of Wowza.

Now the client must connect to rtmFp://domain/ using your publication name. The following link can help you to test your publication : http://jazzmatazz.free.fr/Cumulus/TestFP11/ (use "Remote video").
