!!!!

You are my hero!

I'm just about to leave for San Diego (we're talking to some people at Scripts Oceanographic Institute, etc), but I really look forward to playing with it when I get back.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Eric

Do you know if the linux procedure for burning the image to the SD also works fro Mac terminal?
The dd cmd looks a bit different from the linux one (no --version nor --help switch)

According to https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man1/dd.1.html
the syntax should be the same.
question is, what the correct /dev (or what the osx equivalent) is

I'm on a Mac and I use one of the Raspberry Pi tools for copying the image. I use this one http://ivanx.com/raspberrypi/
works well and is really easy to use

Yeah I was about to write the same thing:
just found this page on the RPi page that shows both a graphical tool and the cmdline option with dd:

Once you figured it out, could you add it to the README.md in the openrov-image? :)

Sure, I will. I'm in the Alps for the weekend, but I'll do as soon as I get back home

Hi all, I uncompressed and loaded the image on the SD, but I've got a problem during boot (running from USB)

that's the last part of the boot sequence:

Any idea of what might be the problem and how to solve it?
Thx

Hey Simone,

Have you tried to boot a few times?

Had this before too when powering only via usb.

Try to write the image again too.

Dominik

Just had look at the error message again.
It looks like it couldn't mount the root partition.
Can you check if there are two partitions on the card?

Hi,
the disk utility in the Mac sees 2 partitions, one boot formatted in FAT, one calles disk1s2 of 1.5Gb in Linux format.
