2.5 Controller board, external power?

Hi there,

Is there a solder point or pin header where I can apply an external power source without the use of the use of the db-25 header?

The other option obviously to put a connector between the DB25 and the battery wires and power it from there.

I've seen the solder point J7 could that be used? or is that output?
