Hi all,
after a long time I was finally able to install the latest image on the microSD and boot my BB with it.
It works... this time I burned the image from a Win7 box,
The previous time I did it with the RPi tools from a Mac but didn't burn it correctly and the boot process was stuck at a certain point.

So probably those tools do not really work very well... I guess we still have to find a viable solution for burning image from a Mac :)

Simo,

Are you referring to the ROV image?  From my MAC with OSX 10.9:

haley:~ user$ diskutil list
<<removed>>
/dev/disk3
   #:                       TYPE NAME                    SIZE       IDENTIFIER
   0:     FDisk_partition_scheme                        *8.0 GB     disk3
   1:             Windows_FAT_16 boot                    67.1 MB    disk3s1
   2:                      Linux                         1.5 GB     disk3s2

haley:~ user$ diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk3
Unmount of all volumes on disk3 was successful

haley:~ user$ sudo dd if=OpenROV-05-09-2013.img of=/dev/disk3
Password:
3072000+0 records in
3072000+0 records out
1572864000 bytes transferred in 1434.097281 secs (1096762 bytes/sec)

haley:~ user$

Disk 3 is an SD card with 8gb of space.  Boots fine on BB.
