Energy calculation in directions api

Hi

I was thinking about an additional flag like evaluation in directions api that automatically calculates energy consumption based on parameters like vehicle aerodynamics, recuperation, average energy consumption per 100km, battery size, initial state of charge, state of charge after charging,...

Everybody interested in implementing it with out support?

Hi Dani,

we're about to publish openfuelservice, which calculate your fuel consumption based on your car model.

In a next project (proposal handed in already), we'll be looking at e-cars. If done right, it's a huge project. So don't expect anything before 2 years. But then there'll an open position for that project, in case you're interested and algorithmically savvy.

thanks for the feedback. Do you have further infos online yet? I had a quick look at the open route service source code and I think it could be easily added there with a moderate effort of about two weeks.
