4:40pm           Ingres 10S (geospatial) and Actian roadmap - Joe Marsden, Director, Professional Services, Actian Australia.

You may be aware that Actian have recently released Ingres 10S (aka Ingres 10.1) with geospatial support (see below.) Joe will discuss this new release and the Ingres Roadmap, OpenRoad 6.0, Actian Director (see below), Vectorwise and Actian Apps. This is also a valuable opportunity to ask any questions you have about Actian.

Ingres 10S geospatial

 

 

Actian (formerly known as IngresCorporation) have recently released Ingres 10S. This release has geospatial capability that supports Esri's ArcGIS for Desktop, Safe Software's FME and more: http://www.actian.com/products/ingres/geospatial

 

There will be an Ingres 10S (Ingres 10.1 with spatial capability) webinar on this Thursday 24 May at 10 AM:


During this webinar you will: 
- Hear about Ingres 10S from leading product and technical experts at Actian
- Learn how you can store, convert, and access geospatial data in Ingres 10S without needing to understand how the underlying technology works
- Discover how the geospatial functions that are supported in Ingres 10S will benefit you and your applications
 

This webinar will be hosted by Emma McGrattan and the Actian Ingres geospatial expert Tyler Mitchell.

Member presentations underpin the success of any user group.  The QIUG would love to hear about your experiences with Ingres or any related product/topic.  We also welcome 10 minute "What do I do" and "Tips and Tricks" presentations where you tell us about your environment or any hints or techniques or what you have done in the past or if you have experimented with any of Actian's new tools and products.  If you would like to present, or even suggest a topic, contact us on the QIUG email.
