I have been requested to make some of our guidance documents (Word, Excel docs) available via one of our OpenROAD applications.  This O/R application uses an Application Server for db access and for retrieving these files.  These documents are stored in a SharePoint website.  I have tested that the Application Server account can see these documents, but when I try to set the FileHandle to the http address of the document I get an error indicating that the file does not exist or cannot be read.  Ive checked permissions and these all seem fine (I can view the document via the website).

Is there a restriction with the types of document address that can be assigned to a FileHandle?  If I cannot set a http address, is there another way of getting the contents of a binary file (stored in a SharePoint website) into a LongByteObject?

Thanks in advance,

Martin Bloomfield.
