Hi,

I like the convenience of pre-built Openresty packages.

However, I also like best-in-class compression, and this is where
Brotli outshines
gzip and friends.

Is there a way to have Brotli enabled in Ubuntu 22.04 Openresty
without going back
to source & recompile?

Kind regards, Markus

I'm not sure: are you trying to make a pre-compiled openresty to support  Brotli  compression?
IIRC, it's not supported at the moment, so I'm afraid you'll have to compile it yourself.

Pull requests welcome, so you might get rid of the burden to build it
yourself if you make one. I haven't found the time to figure out how
to build ngx_brotli as part of the "official" package build process:

Hi, I was hoping for one of two things: either 1) OpenResty includes that important compression module in their official prebuilt packages, recognizing its importance in practice or 2) offers a dynamic module-adding capability for their unchanged prebuild packages.

Evidently, for now neither 1) nor 2) are supported - consider that a friendly request to make at least one of these come true, for an even more versatile OpenResty!
