Position of OpenResty after freenginx fork?

Hi,

a lead developer of nginx, which OpenResty is based on, recently quit working

for nginx and forked it, cf. https://freenginx.org/pipermail/nginx/2024-February/000000.html.

Does this move  have consequences for OpenResty?
