Hello All,

I installed OpenREM 1.0.0b2 at my hospital in January and we're really happy with how it's going so far.

I have run into an issue though with importing RDSRs from Siemens YSIO X.pree X-ray systems. I noticed when I was assigning display names for these systems that they weren't in the 'Radiography' table but instead were in the 'Others' table. When I assign a display name and modality and press submit, I get the error "Warning! Can't determine modality type for Siemens YSIO X.pree, user defined modality type not set."

Looking at the recent tasks when uploading an RDSR from this system I can see the following error against the import

I'm hoping someone might have worked through this error before. Any clues on how to fix would be excellent!

Native linux install (ubuntu)
v1.0.0.2b

Regards,
Ben.

Hi Ben.

You can set the modality type to help OpenREM distinguish between fluoroscopy and radiography when you set the display name - the RDSRs themselves can be ambiguous.

However, there seems to be an import error here that may mean they are only partially importing.

Would you be able to send me (not the group) a sample RDSR? Ideally one from a QA study so that you don't need to deidentify it, as this often "fixes" the original issue or causes other changes that mislead.

Kind regards

Ed

Sorry for the delay. I've had a look at the code where it falls over, and the bug you have found has already been fixed in issue #1020. This will be available in the next release.

I am disappointed to see that a Siemens RDSR tripped over on this one though. Assuming there are two events in that study and that they were either acquisition/instance 1 and  acquisition/instance 2 or series 1 and series 2, then the missing tag is the label type which is mandatory conditional, the condition being that the value of the previous tag - irradiation event label - is an attribute in the images, with the available types being series number, acquisition number or instance number.

Kind regards

Ed

Thanks for fixing this, and looking forward to the next release since we are having the same issues as Ben for our Siemens YSIO X.pree X-ray systems.
