Hi
Can you say what platform (Windows, Linux, Mac?) you are on?

FYI...
Java 8 (a.k.a. 1.8) was the last version that updated automatically and is mistakenly assumed by many as "the latest Java version" by Windows and Mac users. Java 8 is very old. Oracle does not do auto-updates for Java any longer. The latest Java version is 19 as of this message. Also, the difference between the JRE and JDK no longer exists. You essentially get the JDK and can use the "jlink" command to minimize the Java libraries down to the ones you need for a particular project. OR does something similar with the embedded Java.
