Hello,

I and a couple of work colleagues use Open Refine regularly for data processing.  Over the last week a number of saving/updating errors have occurred

I'm not sure if this is due to Open Refine or other external influences (like web browser updates).

Issues are intermittent, but we've encountered:
> Create project, but project does not save into workspace
> Update project, but project is not updated when relaunched
> Create project, relaunch project and it corrupts
> Main Open Refine navigation page does not display on launch in browsers

I've tried to resolve my changing the workspace folder from my roaming windows profile to C drive but that hasn't fixed the issues.

I've created a video in real-time documenting the issues which I'm happy to share (it was too big to post here)... Any thoughts greatly appreciated

v3.5.2 ; Windows ; Chrome browser

This has been resolved.  The issue was the user not giving enough time for the autosave to occur.  The autosave default is 5-minutes. When you create a project you have to wait 5-mins before it actually saves the data to the workshop.  Likewise, the most recent operation is saved on the autosave.  It's a shame that OpenRefine doesn't (1) save at time of project creation and (2) doesn't have a button to allow the user to force a save

I think what you mention is a limitation of OpenRefine on the Windows platform. On the Mac, if you quit OR, it will save. On Linux, I believe that a Control-C will also get a save from the back-end before quitting. But on Windows, if you close the terminal, it will just quit, without saving.

Maybe adding a save-project just after the importation could prevent some lost & problems, but we also have an issue about provinding the Windows version with better OS intergration, and a quit function.

Thanks Antoine,  yes I've been able to Ctrl-C over the console window and it forces a save before quitting OpenRefine.  I will adjust my work process to: 1. Create project 2. Immediately Ctrl-C to save and exit out of Open Refine 3. Relaunch Open Refine and begin my operations.  Previously I had created the project and then immediately applied a set of operations (copied from a text file)..  Thanks for your reply
