Is the OpenCorporates Reconciliation API working?

Hello,

I've been trying reconcile company names and am not seeing any matches even though I can find the company names on the OpenCorporates front end. I've tried multiple datasets.

I've attached a screenshot as one example. I'm on Windows. Chrome browser. I have the latest stable version of OR downloaded.

Hey Sabah,

I just tried querying the service with the testbench
https://reconciliation-api.github.io/testbench/ with your first row as
an example (no type constraint, no extra property) and it did return
some results, so it seems to be working :)

We have made some improvements to reconciliation in 3.5 so perhaps you
could try using 3.5-beta1 instead?

Hey Antonin,

I've updated to the latest version of OpenRefine, but still having the same issue.

My file is pretty simple (see attached). I am reconciling to column B. All I did to the data was to clean it up in order to extract the company names :-/

Hi Sabah,

I tried reconciling it and I do get some results, but not for all rows.
This seems to be an instance of a problem that I thought was fixed, but
clearly we need to try harder. I have opened an issue here:
https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/issues/3987
I intend to work on this before the next release.

Hi Antonin,

Thanks for the update. I tried again this morning by uploading the file I attached to this conversation and still got nothing - (unreconciled) 11 and none 989. Thought I would provide this information in case understanding the behaviour is helpful.

I will keep my eye out for the new release :)

Any updates on this? We are not able to get OpenCorporates to work for company verification as well

I'll +1 this as well. I experienced the same issue this week, started searching the interwebs, and it seems like this is the thread to be following! I am experiencing a very similar issue to Sabah.
