sudden performance problems OSX

Hi, I'm a long time user. This week openrefine began performing poorly. I'm using version 3.5.2 (1) on macOS Monterey 12.4.

It's slow in general, and it hangs often, causing me to have to force quit and restart.

I've recently switched to Blaze browser, but the problem is there in other browsers too.

Sorry for the vague description. Any ideas?
