Working out a csv file in openrefine

Hello community, am new to openrefine.

Am working an objective that requires me to identify missing metadata elements across 2000 thesis and dissertations by analyzing the data. To do that, i imported 25 xml files containing the thesis and dissertations from an institutional repository and converted them to csv in openrefine. However, am having problems joining the rows and separating the various records(thesis and dissertations) being displayed.

Do you have some example data you can share? This definitely seems like a good task for OpenRefine but it's hard to give specific advice without an example of the data structure
