I have two databases in csv format that I want to reconcile with Reconcile-csv in Open Refine. Normally, you make the reconcile between the two databases taking into account one common variable, but what if I need to do the reconcile taking into account two variables (two columns). There is any way to do that in Open Refine?

Thank you very much,

Laia

Hi Laia,

It's possible for a reconciliation service to take into account other columns in the data set (Wikidata reconciliation does this) but I believe it would be down to the reconciliation service to implement support for this. As far as I know Reconcile-CSV doesn't do this.

The alternative would be to combine the two columns into a single column in both the OpenRefine project and the CSV file you are reconciling against (unless the values are already in a single column in the CSV) and do the reconciliation against this new column that combines the values

Hope this helps

Owen
