I've updated jQuery and jQuery UI to the latest releases..  This represents over two years of jQuery development and should provide us with some performance improvements, among other things, but there's always a risk of compatibility issues (or just plain bugs), so please keep an eye open for any weird behavior.

Note: To keep the size down, I left out all of the new animation effects, but if anyone finds a use for them, they're easy to include back in again.

Thanks for making this update, Tom! I'll try to watch out for incompatibility.

If the difference is only 5 or 10 megs then I vote to include the animation libs. Html5 parts included.

We're talking a couple hundred KB, not 5 or 10 MB. If someone finds
they need the animations, they're easy enough to include.
