Welcome Mathieu !

" I'm an Openrefine user and trainer, and I'm trying to delve into the code to fix some bugs and writing patches "

I found your CV very interesting !  Your Koha contributions are great !

Since you work in Library Science...
1. You might look at our MARC importer for improvements
2. Work on a Bibframe 2.0 importer (RDF based, could reuse RDF Importer or extension code) that outputs nice Records in OpenRefine (rather than Rows)

Our project board is here https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/projects  where you can click on each section to get a detailed view.
We have Antonin currently working on Maven conversion in the maven2 branch and working on the Front/Back separation project.
We use Milestones to label what we need to work on next, from a team priority perspective.  Where I usually triage and categorize the issues going into the next Milestone, but anyone can.

Welcome aboard and let us know if there is anything you need.
We offer free development software, since we are open source we qualify for many free licenses of products to our core developers.  Such as https://www.jetbrains.com/buy/opensource/
To become a core developer, you just need to make regular contributions in any fashion, code reviews, docs, bug fixing, enhancements, etc. and then a vote is passed by other core developers.
Just let us know if/when you would like to begin qualifying as one of our core contributors, but we'll usually recognize you first !

See you on this list !

Thanks!
Yes, library world... I am responsible for metadata and some IT tools in Nice university library (France), and also involved in research support.
I organized a few training sessions on Openrefine (in french : part 1 https://osf.io/xz78v/ ; part 2 https://osf.io/tnd78/ )and wrote a guide in french for GREL (https://osf.io/4y95x/ )
