This is an old file, left over from my cooking school days. This is
one example of how a restaurant may want to print their recipes, for
ease of use. The ingredients are listed on the left, grouped with the
relevent instructions on the right. The recipe is a little easier to
read, because it walks you through, giving you each ingredient and
step only as needed. This isn't how every restaurant wants to see
their recipes, but there are some that like this layout. If we could
get a few more sample recipes from different restaurants, maybe we can
start to pinpoint a few more of the needs of the chefs.
Note also the pricing worksheets towards the end. A lot of
professional software keeps track of pricing for the chef, which is
really good for figuring out food costs. On a technical level, what do
we think about trying to support pricing features as well? Maybe even
keeping a pricing sheet in a seperate file, using its own format?
