lift status feeds in SIRI format?

Hi all,

I am looking to see if there is a source of real-time lift status in National
Rail stations in SIRI format, so we can implement wheelchair routing avoiding
closed lifts.

Use the Stations Experience API, you don't need it in CEN's SIRI format to achieve that goal.

Hi Adam,

I will see if this API can satisfy our need as we need to get a SIRI feed into
our systems. Our software is designed to work with international standards
including GTFS/GBFS and Transmodel and the availability of such data in SIRI
format is crucial to data interoperability between different transport modes
across different countries.

It's a nice ideal, Michael, but if the preferred standards you want to
be using are not in use by GB industry then you'll have to make do with
a bespoke GB-rail-specific-adapter or write something that can emit
compatible-data (and accept that by doing this, you'll be targeting the
lowest common denominator). That's life.

Therefore I wish that all new products released will be made, to the most
possible extent, in CEN standards so that our products can be used in the same
way across Europe to facilitate multi-modal travel.

Norway has fully adopted Transmodel standards (NeTEx / SIRI) for its NAP
(National Access Point) which all public transport providers are required to
submit the data, and their official journey planner (Entur) can sell tickets for
most of the services across different providers.

I wish that the future GBR can achieve the same high interoperability standard
as in Norway, including full NeTEx data delivery and the ability to sell all
rail / metro / bus / ferry / plane tickets in the whole GB.
