Changes to End of Day Miles in Allocations Feed

When there are multiple updates a day to a single allocation there seems to be differences in the end of day miles.
Are these for the previous day, estimates for the current day, or some other sort of middle ground? 158745 on 13/08/2026 at 04:54 was reported at 3876273, then later on at 15:14 it was reported as 3876065.
I'm looking to track the miles a train does in a day and don't know which of those digits is more useful especially when they look to be going down through the day
