Hello All,

We are consuming station information API URL, as below:-

https://internal.nationalrail.co.uk/xml/station-bdm.xml

But since, 24th Aug, we are getting 502 error response.

Is anyone facing the same issue or having any update on this?

Regards,
Manoj Kumar

Hi Manoj,

Works fine for me, but I should point out that you've linked to a URL on
internal KB, which isn't part of National Rail's open data offering, and which
will likely become inaccessible to the general public later this month when
iKB is put back behind its firewall.

That aside, this makes it look like you're querying for individual stations on
demand – why?

Hello Evelyn,

Yes, I am querying individual station information on demand., as the current API is like this.

Can I get National Rail's open data Station information feed URL, or where I can request to access it?
Appreciate your help.

Regards,
Manoj Kumar

Hi Manoj,

I probably should have included the link! There's documentation on the signup
process and how to form requests on https://wiki.openraildata.com/index.php?title=KnowledgeBase

On the other point, the question is more about your use case. It may make more
sense to periodically request all stations, and to store them in something like
ETS or a conventional database for access instead of requesting them
individually - not least because it insulates you against the service being
temporarily unavailable.
