In R-CRISIS, I have a collection of area sources that:

•              Have leaky boundaries.

•              Are modelled using the “floating earthquake” concept (i.e., a spatially uniform distribution of earthquake epicentres across the area source).

If I want to replicate this in OpenQuake, I should use OpenQuake’s ‘area source’ and use the following same parameters:

•              Area source coordinates

•              Recurrence parameters (a,b, min mag, max mag in the truncated Gutenberg Richter relation)

•              Upper and lower seismic depths

•              Magnitude scaling relation

•              Rupture aspect ratio

•              Nodal plane distribution

•              Hypocentre depth distribution

that I also used in R-CRISIS? Are there any more parameters I should include, and do you know what sort of difference in outputs I should expect between the two software tools?

Best regards,

Jake.
