Strike and dip for Area source

Hi,

I am trying to run Hazard Analysis in OpenQuake where, the source zones used are delineated based on statistical method (k-means clustering). The source zones that I'm inputting are area sources. However, to define these area sources in openquake I believe the strike, dip, rake parameters are required. I would like to know if there's any way to define such sources without having these parameters inputted.
