Converting Area Sources to Multipount Sources

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for the advice on my last issue. I have another problem I'm not sure if it's an Openquake related or just PSHA related. 

I want to convert one of my area sources into a Multipoint source. I copied all of the parameters except for the geometry. the coordinates were taken through ArcGIS which made it easier to convert the polygon coordinates to gridded coordinates

Below is the Multipoint Source:

The problem arises when I compare their Hazard Curves and UHS and notice that the results of the Multipoint are higher than the area source.  Here is how it looks:

Could anyone help me how to fix this?

Are there any references that I can use to convert area sources to multipoint sources?
