Dear OpenQuake Team,

In my probabilistic risk analysis, I am using a taxonomy mapping scheme where some taxonomy strings are associated with multiple vulnerability functions, each with a specified weight. For these cases (i.e., taxonomies linked to more than one vulnerability function), the classical risk calculation results in complete loss for all POE values, which does not seem realistic.

When I assign only a single vulnerability function to the same taxonomy, the results seem reasonable.

Can you please help me understand why is this happening, and if it needs fixing.

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Best regards,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

We believe this issue should've been fixed in https://github.com/gem/oq-engine/pull/10935. If you are using a Windows computer, could you try running your calculation again with the latest nightly build that should contain the fix https://downloads.openquake.org/pkgs/windows/oq-engine/nightly/ and let us know if it still persists?

Best regards,
Anirudh

Dear Anirudh,

I installed OQ using git, and I just pulled the master branch.
Yes I am using Windows, and I also tried the nightly build version, but i still get the same results (the wrong one).

Kind regards,
Lisa

Dear Anirudh,

I tried with each nightly build version of the past couple of days, but it is still not fixed.

Kind regards,
Lisa

Dear Lisa,

Thanks for checking and confirming that the issue still exists on the latest nightly build. We'll take a look as soon as possible!

Meanwhile, I wanted to check if the issue you'd reported on the other thread has been resolved satisfactorily?

Best regards,
Anirudh
