Hello Everyone,

its been a long time of the development of OpenQuake and a number of users are utilizing this platform in a really good manner. Special thanks shootout to the OpenQuake team.

In the meantime is there any way to use site amplification either in the form of fundamental site frequency (fo) or fundamental site period (T0) in OpenQuake to calculate the hazard.

Let say I have around the 1200 fundamental site frequency in my study area. How can I use this dataset in OpenQuake to calculate either deterministic or probabilistic hazards in the OpenQuake?

Regards

Anyone working on this... I mean Did anybody in the groups try to use the fundamental site period for the calculation.

I don't think I understand what exactly you are trying to do. Are you seeking to estimate the spectral accelerations at the fundamental periods of those 1200 sites and then plot the hazard map? If this is the case, then I THINK the answer should be in the way you configure the job.ini file, where you select Intensity measure levels and types.
I have never done what you asked, so I cannot provide more details.

Or maybe this is about using fundamental frequency as a parameter for estimating site amplification...? (Instead of vs30)
In that case unfortunately OpenQuake does not provide GMPEs / framework that would allow you to use it,
I understand that it is probably not what you would like to do, but you could somehow transform fundamental frequency/period to vs30...?

I am not sure about the question; but if you are meaning to add a variable in openquake for site amplification just like vs30; I remember tweaking some source codes to add z3pt2 for Mori GMPE, but since it requires tweaking in source code, some errors might occur in later process. Hope this helps.

Thanks and regards,
Sanish

Apologies for not making it more clear,. I want to compute hazard using amplification function for each site. let say I have 2000 sites with amplification functions. how can I incorporate these to calculate hazards?
