Dear OpenQuake community,
I am trying to apply near-fault directivity using ChiouYoungs2014NearFaultEffect in OpenQuake and would like to ask about the correct workflow and required inputs.
I tested the GMPE in a scenario calculation. When using ChiouYoungs2014, the calculation runs successfully without any issues. However, when I switch to ChiouYoungs2014NearFaultEffect, the job fails with the following error:
AttributeError: BaseRupture object has no attribute get_cdppvalue
I would like to ask about the recommended workflow.
1. What rupture/source types are required for ChiouYoungs2014NearFaultEffect (e.g., simpleFaultSource vs. complexFaultSource)?
2. Are additional rupture parameters or geometrical definitions needed for OpenQuake to compute CDPP or other directivity terms?
3. Is there an example (NRML + job.ini) demonstrating a working implementation of this GMPE?
Any guidance on the correct setup or limitations of ChiouYoungs2014NearFaultEffect would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Mango
