Failing to convert fault model (e.g. sm_0.xml) to .gdkg file in CHN v2021.0.0 — “lack of spatial index” error

Dear OpenQuake team and users,

I’m encountering an issue while trying to convert a fault model (e.g. sm_0.xml) into a .gdkg file using the OpenQuake CHN v2021.0.0 dataset.
The process fails with an error message related to a “lack of spatial index.”

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a workaround for this version?
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this — for instance, whether an updated version of the source model or a manual index build is required.
