Dear OpenQuake Community,

I am currently working on scenario hazard calculation.
I want to use the data available in the folder earthqake scenarios for Italy, in particular the Emilia 2012 earthquake sequence.
My idea is conditiong the ground motion fields to station data, by including the station_data.csv file. I found it here: https://github.com/gem/earthquake-scenarios/blob/main/Europe/Italy/20120000_Sequence_EmiliaRomagna/20120529_M5.6_EmiliaRomagna/OpenQuake_gmfs/stationlist_all.csv.
Comparing the values provided in the csv file with those from the ITACA website from INGV (https://itaca.mi.ingv.it/ItacaNet_32/#/event/IT-2012-0011), it appears that the PGA_VALUE is that in the Z-direction. I would like to understand why this value is taken and not that in the other two directions such as the maximum.
To explain myself better I attach an example of the MRN station for the second shock.
I apologize if my question may seem trivial.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Regards,
Chiara

Dear Chiara,

Thank you for reporting this issue in the station data. We have opened a ticket in the repository.
We will investigate what caused the wrong assignment in the reported value and fix it in the coming days.

Best regards,
Catalina
