Dear all,
I'm pleased to announce that Openpyxl 3.1 has finally been released. It's been a long time coming, I know, but a lot of stuff was happening away from the keyboard which made it difficult to put the finishing touches to the release.
Along with bug fixes, 3.1 contains lots of changes in detail such as removal of long deprecated attributes.
It also contains several new features:

Many thanks to those who have contributed to the development through pull requests or by sponsoring features. Much of the recent development of the library has been made possible by commercial sponsorship. Do get in touch if there are features that you'd like to see in the library or if you require professional support.
Thanks also to Octobus (https://octobus.net/) for providing hosting for the project.
Work on 3.2 started a while ago and includes significant improvements in the handling of macros, ActiveX elements and drawings, which is hopefully good news for those who rely on Excel files in their workflows.
