Is Microsoft Excel 2007+ supported?

I see the above statement. Does it mean it does not support Microsoft Excel 2007+?

No, Office 2007 was released before OOXML was finished and is not supported.

Because it is openpyxl, followed by xl, so 2007 is not supported
