Hi, here is a small shameless plug for something I built. It is a small wrapper on top of openpyxl to fill tables in Excel. The package resized the table, extends formulas and formatting, and update charts linked to the table.

Please have a look.

Sounds great. I've done a little work with tables and they're very fiddly – one of the reasons why I wouldn't want to put the functionality directly into Openpyxl.
