Integrating part of OPDS feed

Hi,

I have a doubt regarding usage of OPDS feed in my app for romantic ebooks. Is it possible that I show only a part of the books listed in a publisher's OPDS. For example, lets say there are two parts to a publisher's OPDS feed currently 

- This month books (having 150 books with 20 books in romance category)

- Last month books (having 350 books with 100 books in romance category)

Is it possible that I show only the 120(100+20) romance ebooks, filtered by me from the two categories offered by the publisher's OPDS? Do I need to take permission for the same?

Instead of using the OPDS feed directly in the app, I want to go about saving it first and then filtering out the content relevant to my app.

I am really confused regarding this. Some clarity on this issue would be highly appreciated!
