Dear openptv group,

Thanks for your excellent works.Sorry to borther you in your busy schedule.

I am now trying to analyze bubbles in bubbly flow using 2DPTV.while I don't have commercial software.So I am looking for some opensource code to use .On your website , you said your code is not available to 2DPTV, would you mind give me some advice about it? I wouldappreciate a lot if you can reply.

OpenPTV works great with 2D data. There are some 2D example datasets in our Github account (2D jet, etc.) that you can use as a template to start with. There is some image processing that might be needed for bubbly flows, but it also depends on the size of bubbles. It would be great if you could help the community to learn about how to do it with your bubbles. Please consider sending us your results and hopefully some code.

Hi Alex,

I am working on 2D PTV as well. Thanks for sharing the 2D data. I have downloaded the 2D data and try to run the TrackExample example, but I got some errors. (I have meet the prerequisites you listed in the readme.md file, I can run the 3D test_cavity example). I followed run the TrackExample following the steps you shared in the tutorial no. 1 video. Here is the steps I did: Start -> Init/Restart -> Preprocess -> High pass filter -> Img coord -> Correspondences -> 3D Positions -> 3D positions -> Sequence -> Sequence without display. However, the program exit itself with a error report, I am attaching the whole process I did for your reference.

I would appreciate it if you could help me with it.

Hi, 

I do not have a computer (using ipad) to test the error. but it seems that this template folder is using some old convention for the naming and we changed it to the new one, allowing for a simple naming, e.g. 

img.# - then the # sign will be replaced by the number of the frame. This allows to use complex names, e.g. run1_#_C002.tif and so on, 

so please update your parameters in the sequence and it should work
