Are there plans to release this in CVS? Sounds like some great bug
fixes.

It would be very nice if those updates ends up on the CVS.

They may be at some point, however, we paid large amounts of money to fix
these problems so that we could commercially market the software. We have
now uncovered other problems and have decided to shelf openpoker for the
time being.

We have now signed a contract with a consulting firm to develop a brand new
software platform which should have a beta at the end of May, Early June.
This has no components or remnants of openpoker, strictly from scratch and
from our specifications.

If what you are saying is in fact true and I'll assume it is then why
will you not repack what you have and let the rest of us use it. Noone
else wants to sell it, and you have been working on it now for what
seems like forever. Joel tried for a more than a year to sort it and
ended up as you have.

We all realize that you have spent many hours trying to get open poker
to work so that you can profit from it, but if it's going to be shelved
and you are going in a differant direction why not realize what you
have.

I only ever wanted to use openpoker for one reason and that was to be
able to load it on my server set up a few tables so that my friends (I
have 5 by the way) and family could play together over the internet.
We all live in other places around the world so cannot get to gether in
someone house once a week and play poker.

So, do us all a favour repack what you have into new updated Openpoker
Install and Server exe file so that the rest of us can at least enjoy
what yu have done.

I will consider building EXE files without the code with the latest fixes.
Some bugs / fixes were in mid fix so I am not sure how useful they would be.

The reason why I am shelving it is because there are just too many flaws in
the code to truly ever be fixed. I have had 3 consulting firms look over all
6.5 million lines of code and all have come up with the same result: That in
essence the code has to be completely rewrote to get all the networking and
flow to work the way it needs to. I tried unsuccessfully to find the
original programmers with no luck and basically hit the wall of invest X
more dollars to fix X more problems and never truly get a "fixed" product. I
have now invested Y more dollars to get a "fixed" product.

I am building a new jegaming.com (the test server has been taken down and
being rebuilt) and the webserver is now housed in a hosting facility. I will
post news, screenshots, and betas.

Please check that site in the near future and I will devote an OP section
with builds and such. I believe I have 2 builds, I could publish the ASP
files if you wanted to run a webserver on your OP server to have web access
to your accounts. Give me till next friday, considering the holidays, to
build a new site, to build the exes, revamp the web stuff, etc..

That would be great as I indicated all I ever wanted to do with OpenPoker
was set it up on my own Server here at home and then run it with some
friends and family.  We don't care about it keeping money amounts for the
next game we just wanted to play some single table torni and not have the
server freeze up half way through the game.

I'll be interested in the exe files but will be away teaching for 15 days
starting next Tuesday.  I'll check once I get back.
