In your E-CAD, you need to make sure it is drawn with the contacts centered, not the package overall. The pick location must also be in the center of the contacts (metallic housing), not in the center of the black PCB. I guess that's better anyways.

I guess you can tell the ReferenceStripFeeder that the tape width
is more, or less than the real 44mm, depending on
which side the metallic case is. When the metallic case is away
from the sprocket holes, add that distance (yellow),
otherwise subtract.

It's actually a valid point to keep in mind. The BlindsFeeder and
ReferencePushPullFeeder would currently insist on the the center,
I think. Hmmm...
