Hi,

I got to place this part:

IMG_2020.jpeg

if I set this up with the footprint I get this error message:
Error: Invalid | No solution found. Cannot isolate corners with compositable X and Y symmetries. Check footprint.

Any clue hint how to fix this?
Config and screenshots / logs attached.

Hi,

In your E-CAD, you need to make sure it is drawn with the contacts centered, not the package overall. The pick location must also be in the center of the contacts (metallic housing), not in the center of the black PCB. I guess that's better anyways.

See the simple sketch here:

Hi Mark,

thank you for the suggestion.
As the module is delivered on a 44mm spool, any suggestion how to set up the reference strip feeder to achieve the pick location?
Alternatively I could use a tray feeder I suppose, but then the vision will fail (which it does sometimes anyways for all my StripFeeders - another issue I want to address in the future)

I will try to set this up as suggested and see how far I get :-)

I guess you can tell the ReferenceStripFeeder that the tape width is more, or less than the real 44mm, depending on which side the metallic case is. When the metallic case is away from the sprocket holes, add that distance (yellow), otherwise subtract.

It's actually a valid point to keep in mind. The BlindsFeeder and ReferencePushPullFeeder would currently insist on the the center, I think. Hmmm...

Orientation in tape is with the PCB part to the left….
For now a tray feeder will do for me (just tried that )

Next problem I will discuss in a different thread, just in case someone as a similar problem
