I have a working pick$place machine. Which runs on Openpnp v1.0. Everything is fine, but it's time to switch to the new version. I've been trying for more than a day and nothing works. In the old version, everything works flawlessly, Petra head, autofeeder cameras, nozzle change, etc. Are there any tools to easily migrate to the new version? Or can someone share their machine.xml, and I would already customize it for mine. I would be very grateful. If you need any more information, I will provide it.

 1) If you have a Save your work files (on disc somewhere in Doc. folder-beckup)
2) Run your version -latest from here - https://openpnp.org/downloads/
3) Install in the same directory as you have the old OpenPnP
and enjoy newest version
In case something is not OK - Copy over the files in OpenPnP folder from old work)
I works every time for me - it should for you as well !
this should work for you

As far as I know, files from the old version are not replaced at all in the new version.

Assumung you backup your computer anyway ;-) I guess its quite safe to install it over the existing installation.OpenPNP 2 will leave your HOMEDIR/.openpnp directory untouched so if you want to return later, all your settings are still there.

Instead OpenPNP creates a new .openpnp2 directory, with a fresh machine.xml etc.

Mark wrote a rudimentary guide for porting your machine.xml over from the .openpnp directory here (be sure to make a copy!):

If it is running fine for this long, May I ask why you want to upgrade? What feature do you need that is not present in V1.0?

Hello. Version 1.0 works very well for me, but I was prompted to upgrade to version 2 because of the ability to use a light tower to output work information, errors, etc.
