Hello community!

The project I've been working on lately, is to create a feeder entirely out of aluminum alloy. I have also made many feeders using the 3D PRINTING method, however it is not durable and quite time consuming.

So I created 1 feeder entirely by aluminum CNC method, fast time and high precision and durability.

I learned some 0816 feeder mechanisms, my feeder still works on the 0816 controller and I changed some new mechanisms.

I experimented with the 8mm, and continued to perfect it.

Here is a video about it: https://youtu.be/bgipEqokJus?si=Dxd2rmngKH3uoC-o

Thank you!

The life of this feeder depends on the life of the servo, especially the potentiometer inside the servo.

I use metal gears, and if damaged they are simple to replace

Well,

From my experience you could simplify it without sacrificing durability.
My preferred combination is laser/steel sheet cuts combined with 3D printed fiber reinforced PETG - saves a lot of cost on milling

I feel like 3D printing takes more time than CNC so I hate it, so I do everything with CNC

Laser cutting and 3d printing are also a good idea, but it takes a lot of time to assemble them

Many commercial feeders are built on an aluminum die cast and use precision indestructible stepper motors for feeding and peeling.
Sure, ready-made electric CL feeders cost money (~$120), but you'll save yourself tons of hassle.

There is a runway that creates a compressive force that always pushes the roll of components to avoid flying components
