Hello you clever minds,

Thanks to your help, I'm finally ready to set up my machine. Only a few steps are missing and the machine should be fully operational.
However, there are always minor problems and malfunctions.

I noticed that I kept getting stuttered in the X and Y axes. Specifically, this problem occurs again and again when I want to carry out a pick and feed operation from an autofeeder (outside of a job) or when I switch from the camera position to the nozzle position in the feeder menu. See attached pictures.

The X and Y movement is ignored, it only moves the Z axis and in the first case the feeder also does its feed operation.

Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?

I have 4 nozzles with 2 shared Z-axes. But at the moment only one nozzle with a Z-axis is implemented. As a motion controller I use the BTT Octopus with 8 linear axes (many thanks to Marino !!)
Unfortunately, I haven't looked at the G-Code log yet. Since the machine is not near me, unfortunately I can't do that either at the moment. Perhaps one of you still has an idea.

best regards
Christian

Hi Christian

As you noted yourself, a log is needed.

Hi Mark,

today I was able to try it again and I got the needed log file.

The error almost always occurs.
As far as I can see in the log file, the command to drive to the correct X and Y coordinates is sent to the controller on COM 5 (Movement controller - BTT Octopus with Marlin). But he just doesn't. The Z-axis (on the same controller) always does what it should.

What could be the reason?

Best regards

I haven't looked at the code but I'll bet that it is due to the 90 degree rotation you have set on the Slot Location.  That 90 rotation means the feeder's offset positive X are measured in the machine's positive Y direction and the feeder's offset positive Y is in the machine's negative X direction:
