I just updated to 2023-08-20 - seems HOME is gone and the machine want to run beyond 0

Is there a quick fix?

Alternately, where to find version 2023-03-11 ?

X can move, Y seems out of reach.

I had the same version on another PC from previous testing, I copied it into the /OpenPnP/ folder but program will not start now.

Seems updated jump was too much.

Read everything first, then do the following carefully:
  1. Exit OpenPnP.
  2. Move all the .xml files in your .openpnp2/ directory somewhere safe.
  3. Make sure you got the newest OpenPnP test version installed.
  4. Identify a known good configuration time in your .openpnp2/backups directory. A time when you know for certain it all worked in the old version. If in doubt, go back further!
  5. Copy the files in this directly to the .openpnp2/ directory. Make sure you copy, not move, i.e. keep the backup.
  6. Start OpenPnP again.
  7. I'm very confident the Home will work again, using the newest version.
  8. If it still does not work, report back.
  9. If it does work, you can try to find out what went wrong, as follows:
  10. Exit OpenPnP.
  11. Diff the machine.xml with the one you saved in (2) above.

Thank you! . I will do your step-by-step approach tomorrow. I have plenty of backups. But need to end it here for today.

When you're back, do is slowly. Take a breath. 😎

You were writing emails minutes apart, nobody is that fast. Errors are likely made when you hasten things.

When the problem remains, you must describe what "HOME is gone" or "Seems all X/Y is lost" actually means, exactly. It does not make sense to me.

Took a breath....  Did steps 1 - 6. Step 7 is negative ;-) On to 11....

I believe you can ignore the first few camera related ones (there where 1 or 2 more clearly camera related). I colored the actual differences. The red ones should be relevant

I removed allow-unhomed-motion="false" problem remains. The PnP seems to home in the wrong direction. X seems ok, but it looks like Y moves first to the rear, before it moved to the front. Jogging directions are correct. But typically I can't move and get 'soft limit' errors - will try an even older version.

I hope this can help to solve the issue.

Tried 3 backups from March - all have the same behavior. HOME first goes to the left (correct) but then goes to the rear (wrong) hitting the end (not switching off). Not sure it makes a difference, I use a notebook on Windows 10. No Chrome or anything big running in the background.

Generally, OpenPnP doesn't control which direction the axes move during homing - if an axis is moving the wrong way during homing, that sounds much more like a controller FW or HW issue and not a problem with OpenPnP.

It would also be helpful if you would post complete log files (along with a good description of what you were trying to do) as well as your complete machine.xml file.

Y Min endstop was constantly triggered. That made the machine run 'funny'. It's fixed and should be fine now.
