This machine is our dedicated effort to create a reliable, compact, and affordable Pick-and-Place machine that prioritizes mechanical precision within the OpenPnP framework. We've gone through several iterations, and V3.1 represents a significant step forward in stability and features.

One of the core design philosophies of the Mini V3.1 is high precision manufacturing. Unlike many DIY machines that rely heavily on 3D printed components, we use CNC machined 6061 aluminum alloy for the main structure.  
  • Near-Absolute Mechanical Precision: This method ensures mechanical linkages are as precise as possible, drastically minimizing wear and tear during operation compared to typical 3D printed parts.

  • Superior Durability: The CNC aluminum construction provides exceptional rigidity and longevity.

  We've designed the Mini V3.1 with ease of assembly in mind. The entire machine is structured in highly precise modules: Frame, X-Axis, Y-Axis, and Z-Heads, Electric box...  

This modular approach means:

  1. Near-Perfect Alignment: You can bypass the tedious, time-consuming alignment and calibration often required when building from standard aluminum profiles.

  2. Quick Setup: Simply assemble the pre-aligned modules and focus on the software setup.

We've also incorporated our own self-developed feeding system: the AF FEEDER. Crucially, these feeders are also entirely manufactured using CNC machined 6061 aluminum, ensuring reliable, high-precision component delivery.

And finally, to encourage wider adoption and community building, we've managed to keep the barrier to entry low: the price point for this level of precision engineering is just above $1500.
