Hello All,

I have learned so much from this group already! Thank you all so much for these valuable teachings.  Please forgive me if this has been mentioned elsewhere, if if so, feel free to point me to the related conversation.

I ran into what I hope is a small issue that I can't seem to wrap my head around when setting up my first job on my new AFARCO Iron PNP.

I was attempting to follow what I found online, and what I was guided to do in the Issues wizards, to properly set my safe Z height. I set my low safe Z to -10mm and my upper at -10mm (If I don't set them the same negative, 1 head goes way down and will crash if it moves)

After performing the steps, I noticed that my DRO for my Z1 & Z2 (Share single axis via belt drive) stated that my states one head is -10mm, and the other is +10mm, but they are equalized physically. It homes fine, and performs nozzle runout just fine, but I am scared to do a nozzle change or try picking a part because by the DRO, it is off by 10mm at least, and maybe even 20mm compounded.

Anyone have an idea on where I should look for something I may have inadvertently changed incorrectly?  I tried many different Safe Z upper and lower entries, even zeroed them both out, but 1 head just goes nearly all the way to the bed with any other settings.

I am hoping it's something simple; but regardless, any suggestion is appreciated. I will investigate them all until found.

Thanks again!
Brian

Thank you VERY much for any help you can give.

Thank you, Tony!  I will email tomorrow night when I am back in the shop.

I LOVE this machine!  I am certain it was something I accidentally changed in the OpenPNP software, so I didn't want to trouble you.

Thank you so much!
Regards,
Brian

Yes, thanks for your compliment. You can research as you like, anything you change wrong can use the Backup file in the .openpnp2 folder, whenever you need support, I'm ready.

Good morning, Toan (Sorry to ask: Do I call you this name, or do you want me to call you Tony?),

I wanted to send you some screen shots so you can see some of my settings. I am not sure what you need to see.

I still seem to be struggling with my Z axis. It is as if the machine sees only N1 nozzle, when it comes to the safe Z zone settings. For instance, If I select N1, and click "park", it parks at Safe Z -11mm.  If I select N2, and click park, it moves to Z0.  It is also rapid moving at N1 -11mm, instead of at Z0 N1 N2 equalized.

Note: I have no issues with jogging, and all axis appear to move in the correct direction. The DRO does read correctly.  I can calibrate both nozzles perfectly, and I can jog both nozzles correctly according to the DRO.

Let me know if you need to see anything else. I am not sure what would be helpful.

I will try to stay up late tonight, so I can talk to you when it is your day time.

Thank you very much for the help!
