I am progressing on my Quad PnP conversion.  My Duet3 6DX should be delivered today.

I would like to install a “mini” computer in the machine such as an HP Elite or similar.

I know that I need a unit with al least two USB hosts and ethernet/Wi-Fi.

I am finding it difficult to determine ahead of time how many ‘hosts’ a PC has as opposed to how many ‘ports’ it has.  Guidance here would be helpful.  I assume I would not be able to add a USB host card to a ‘mini’ PC since it does not typically have expansion slots.

I just saw a Beelink GTi14 Ultra mini PC that does have a full PCI slot.

Failing a ‘mini’, maybe a suggestion for one with just a small form factor and a PCI slot that I could add a USB host if needed.

Other considerations?

Does anyone have any suggested models?

Can't say if it it better or worse, but  I have a Asus PN52, which has no problems with 3 cameras (2 USB3 on their own root hubs), and one USB2. In order to do this, I had to use one of the front USB3 so it does look a bit messy.
I run gentoo linux, of course, so I have no clue how well it does in windows.

Hopefully most new PC's are good, but in the end, the only way to be sure is to get one and try.
