Wanted to chime in, I got a Pandaplacer quite a few months ago. The machine has been working without issue this whole time. I do have some tramming issues I really should resolve but I've been placing passives commonly sized at 0402 without any issues! Also FPC headers down to 0.3 pitch without issue as well! Does big components too.

My only want is reliable feeders. The panda feeders above 0402 components seems to work reasonably well. But I'm either going to go with one of the newer gear driven feeders that are projects on here or end up using the AM-2 PM feeders. I really need 24mm tape feeders so I've been just using strip feeders all this time as I'd rather not commit to multiple feeder types if possible.
Support when I emailed them had a good understanding of what I was asking about and solved my problems right away.

We are actually actively working on multiple feeders. Getting 2mm pitch accuracy is not easy but there might be alternatives to strip feeders available.
Thank you for letting us know about your 24mm feeder requirement as in some designs we were just about to drop support for that one.
What I would recommend is keeping an eye out on the feeder thread as some interesting drag feeders may appear soon. I know they are not as good as servo or gear feeders but in many situations they may suffice for larger width tapes.

Due to the current import tariff policy in US, the North American store was closed in July.

To answer your question Owain - no.
