Hello Dr. Liberzon,

I've been trying to install to install OpenPIV on the fresh install of Windows11 and miniconda. I've been using the command conda install -c alexlib openpiv.

I'm receiving and error: CondaVerificationError: The package for openpiv located at ... appears to be corrupted.

All the other packages like Numpy and Matplotlib get installed without any issues.

I'm wondering if this is something known and you can give me the remedy or I should better open an issue on GitHub?

Thank you in advance.
Ivan

I've just tried pip (because I need to do work): installing it via pip into the conda's base environment works fine.

Thanks for the info. We have not yet updated our computers to Windows 11 (in general, the university recommending to keep Windows 10 which is stable and faster), so I cannot even test it.

I see.

I think the issue might be in Windows11. I think so because I've just had an issue with another package which used to work perfectly. The package is OpenCV and its plugging - GStreamer - is complaining to me about missing files. That wasn't happening on Windows10. I went to the GStreamer website and didn't find Windows11 in the list of supported OS. And I concluded Windows11 could be cause of the problem.

Therefore, there is a chance some packages which OpenPIV conda build is dependent upon haven't been updated yet for Windows11.

Thanks. We'll wait with the Windows 11 support.
